This act of kindness brought great joy to the students and reflected the Trust’s continued commitment to supporting underprivileged communities. The initiative not only addressed practical needs but also uplifted the morale of the children, making them feel valued and cared for.
Through such efforts, the Trust continues to promote compassion, dignity, and encouragement for education among children in remote areas.
AKSSADA’s Creative Activity with the Children
As part of the activity, AKSSADA gifted each child a pack of crayons and chocolates. The crayons encouraged creativity and artistic expression among the children, while the chocolates added excitement and happiness to the day.
Members of AKSSADA also interacted with the students and organized a small creative activity using flowers and leaves available in the school compound. The children enthusiastically participated in making flower bouquets and decorative arrangements, which brought smiles and laughter to the group.
This simple activity allowed the children to explore their creativity while enjoying time together with the visitors.
Interaction with Hostel Students
Many of the children studying at Wada Gardoli School stay in a hostel facility. During interactions with the students, it was learned that several of them stay in the hostel because their parents have migrated to Goa for work as labourers. With no one available at home to care for them, the hostel provides a safe place where they can continue their education.
Although life is not always easy for these children, they greeted the visitors with bright smiles and curiosity. The students were eager to talk, share their experiences, and participate in the activities organized during the visit.
Curious and Aware Students
The curiosity and awareness shown by the students reflected the dedication of their teachers.
During the interaction, the visiting members spoke with the children about general knowledge and everyday topics. The students responded confidently and demonstrated a good awareness of their surroundings and basic knowledge.
Despite studying in a rural village school, the children were active, curious, and eager to learn, which was both encouraging and inspiring for the visitors.
The students’ enthusiasm reflected the dedication and hard work of the teachers at Wada Gardoli School, who are committed to providing quality education despite limited resources.
While the school community shows strong dedication to education, there are still infrastructure challenges that need attention.
One of the main concerns discussed during the visit was access to clean drinking water. Currently, students rely on borewell water that is not filtered, which raises concerns about water quality.
Members discussed the possibility of installing a simple sedimentation filtration system, possibly through a DIY solution, to help provide cleaner and safer drinking water for the children.
Improving basic facilities like clean drinking water can significantly enhance the health and well-being of students in rural schools.
